Kateryna Tereshchenko

Kateryna Tereshchenko was born in Ukraine and has been surrounded by musicians since her earliest childhood. In 2006, she graduated from the Lysenko Special Musical School in Kiev, where she studied under Prof. Boris Fedorov. From 2007, Kateryna continued her studies in at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZhDK) under Prof. Konstantin Scherbakov and Prof. Ulrich Koella. During this time, she won a prize at the Scholarship competition of Migros Kulturprozent in 2011 and 2012. 

Straight after graduation of Master Specialized Music Performance in 2013, she enrolled in the Orchester Akademie program at the Opernhaus Zürich where she was active taking part in several shows during the last three years. Among others with performance on Die Soldaten by B.A. Zimmermann, Die Hamletmaschine by Wolfgang Rihm, Balanchine Ballett Thema mit vier Variationen for Piano and String Orchestra by Paul Hindemith. In 2015, she produced her first CD recording with piano works of Chopin, Brahms and Rachmaninov. Kateryna has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and a collaborative pianist at concerts and festivals in Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

Lev Sivkov

Lev Sivkov, principal cello of the Zurich Opera since September 2018, is a graduate of the Freiburg and Stuttgart Music Academies in Germany, taking classes with the French Professor Jean-Guihen Queyras and the Swiss Professor Conradin Brotbek. Ivan Monighetti was another cello personality who had a lasting influence on him. 

Born in 1990 in Novokuznetsk in Easter Siberia, Lev Sivkov began studying the cello at the age of five in Novosibirsk with Professor E. Nilov. Between 2016 and 2017 he was appointed principal cellist of the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen. 

Lev Sivkov has won many competitions including the famous "W. Naumburg International Cello Competition" in New York (2015 - 1st Prize), the "International String Competition" in Gérardmer (2015 - 1st Prize), the "International Competition for Performers string Julio Cardona” in Covilha (2015 - 1st Prize) and the International Competition" Domnick Cello Prize "in Stuttgart (2009 - 1st Prize). In November 2018, he won two prizes at the Seoul International Isangyun Competition: the 3rd Prize and the “UNESCO Creative City of Music Special Prize”. 

Lev Sivkov has given numerous recitals all over the world: in Carnegie Hall New York, San Francisco War Memorial Hall, Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington, Christchurch town Hallin New Zealand, Tongyeong concert hall South Korea, in Zürich, Paris, Besançon, Avignon, Épinal, Montpellier, to name a few places.

Lev Sivkov is invited by the great symphony orchestras as soloist as Opernhaus Zürich orchestra, Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, Prague Philharmonia, Orchestra Wellington, Christ Church Symphony orchestra, Mulhouse Symphony orchestra.
